This Shogi pieces stand is made from Hyuga kaya wood that is the highest quality material to make Go and Shogi boards.
The soft grain and color unique to Hyuga Kaya wood are very beautiful.
Well-finished Shogi pieces stand with decorative carving on the sides.
They're not made from the same wood, so the grain of the top surface and the wood color and grain are somewhat uneven.
