Shogi pieces craftsman "熊澤良尊 (Ryoson kumazawa)"
Born in 1943. He is a well-known Shogi pieces craftsman living in Kyoto Prefecture, and is referred to as a "Modern-Shogi pieces Master".
He taught himself to make Shogi pieces, and his first made Shogi pieces were used in a commemorative game between Meijin Nakahara and Hifumi Kato 9-dan in 1974, attracting much attention.
Since then, he started his creative career as a Shogi pieces maker and has been used in numerous title games.

"Mori-age (embossed) Shogi pieces" are made by filling the engraved characters with lacquer, and after drying and polishing the surface flat, finishing by using a brush to add more lacquer on top of the engraved lacquer parts to give slightly raised characters.
"Mori-age-Shogi pieces" are highly valuable and are the finest shogi pieces available.

Comes in a flat Shogi pieces box. It has an acrylic inner lid.
On the inside of the Shogi pieces box, the inscription "錦旗 熊澤良尊 (Kinki Kumazawa Ryoson)" is signed and stamp by the craftsman.
