This Go bowl is made from Tamo [Ash tree] wood .

Tamo [Ash tree] Go bowl is a popular Go bowl with a soft wood grain and color that resembles Nara [Oak] with fine wood grain.

Tamo [Ash tree]'s wood color is a soft yellowish white bright wood color.
The hardness changes depending on the degree of growth, and it is often used for sports equipment that requires hardness, such as furniture, baseball bats, and hockey sticks.

The big difference from Nara is that the material does not exist the wood grain pattern called "Torafu" that is found in Nara.
