Shogi Pieces
Shogi pieces craftsman "Fu-getsu (富月)" made Mikurajima-hon-tsuge (Mikura Island grown boxwood) Tora-moku (Tiger stripes pattern wood grain) Kinki (Kinki typeface) mori-age (embossed) highest grade Shogi pieces.
"Fu-getsu (富月)" is Shogi pieces craftsman who studied under "Contemporary Master Shogi Craftsman" Mr.Hisanori Ito, a Shogi pieces craftsman in Tendo City, Yamagata Prefecture, and is regarded as one of the five masters of the modern era.
The delicate and flowing inscriptions "Kinki by Fu-getsu" engraved on the butt end of the "玉将 (Gyokusyo)" and "王将 (Ohsho)", and the plump and graceful heaping up of the pieces show the craftsmanship of this masterpiece.
"Fu-getsu (富月)" made Shogi pieces are also used in title and Meijin tournaments.
These Shogi pieces are splendid and beautiful with the carving and embossing techniques cultivated over many years

Shogi Board
Famous board craftsman Mr. Keiji MIWA made Japan grown Hon-kaya 2.0-Sun Kiura 1-piece Table Shogi Board.
It is engraved with a proof "Keiho" manufactured by Keiji MIWA.
The lines of a board are marked using "Tachi-mori", the skill of drawing lines using a Japanese sword.
This traditional technique highlights the beauty of natural grain patterns and the texture of lacquered line is smooth and has also a nice feeling.
This is a Kiura board, so the top surface appears Itame.
There is an intergrown knot but hardly noticeable and the board is beautiful.
*This board comes with Shogi piece stands.

Shogi pieces Box
Shima Kuwa (island mulberry) is the highest quality wood to make Shogi pieces box with its rarity, unique pattern, color and gloss texture.
This is a corner rounded Shogi piece box.
This product has official seal of "Takahashi Kougei", traditional wood craftsmen.
There are black line stains of natural origin on the side of the box and the lid.
