  • Go bord : Hon-kaya made 9*9-ro Go board with legs for 15mm diameter Go stones Oi-masa 1.9-sun (about 59 mm thick)
    The lines of this board are marked using "Tachi-mori", the skill of drawing lines using a Japanese sword.
    This traditional technique highlights the beauty of natural grain patterns and the texture of lacquered line is smooth and has also a nice feeling.

    These are Clamshell White Go stones and Nachiguro Black Go stones with a 15mm diameter, which is about 30% smaller than a standard Go stone (diameter: 21.9mm).
    The thickness of the 15mm-diameter Go stones is about the same as a standard size of No.32 in terms of the ratio of diameter to thickness.

    "Clamshell White Go Stones" are made from Mexican clam shells.
    "Nachi-guro Black Go Stones" are made from Nachi slate black stones produced in Kumano, Mie Prefecture.
    Each Clamshell Go Stones are made by Go stones craftsmen through more than 20 manufacturing processes.
    It takes approximately 2 to 6 months from the clam shell to the finished product.
