Clamshell Go stones are white Go stones made from clam shells.
Generally, the thickness of Go stones that are said to be “easiest to play” is “size 30 to 36", so a Go stone of size 34 (thickness: approx. 9.5 mm) is both moderate thickness and a luxurious feel.

Each Clamshell Go stones are made by hand by Go stones craftsmen through more than 20 manufacturing processes.
It takes approximately 2 to 6 months from the clam shell to the finished product.
We hope you will experience the skill of Go stones making that has been passed down from generation to generation for more than 100 years, and the brilliance of the Go stones carved by traditional Go stone making craftsmen.
The "Clamshell Go stones Blue label" has some scratches, but it is a semi-qualified quality Go stones.
*Clamshell white Go stones are made from Mexican clamshells.

*Our Nachi-guro black Go stones are manufactured to be 0.3mm thicker and 0.3mm larger in diameter than the white Go stones of the same size.
The reason for this is that white is a visually expanding color.
When white and black stones have the exact same diameter and thickness, black Go stones tend to appear slightly smaller to the human eyes.
To ensure that both Go stones look about the same size on the board, we make this slight adjustment.

Go bowls : "Honkuwa [Mountain mulberry]" made Go Bowls Low and Wide shape
This is a "Hira-goke (flat Go bowls)" made from "Honkuwa [Mountain mulberry]" wood, known as one of the finest and most luxurious Go bowls.
Its beautiful golden color and the luster that deepens with use give it a unique presence and a sense of elegance.
The mulberry wood (Hon-kuwa) has a yellowish, beautiful wood tone, and when polished, it develops a unique texture, shining with a golden hue.
The wood itself is extremely hard and is even used in materials requiring high strength, such as canes.
Compared to regular Go bowls, this "Hira-goke (flat Go bowls)" has a lower height and a wider opening, making it easier to take out the Go stones.
It is designed for use with table Go boards.
While the height is lower, the diameter is slightly larger, making it easier to handle the Go stones.
It can hold up to size 35 Go stones.

Famous board craftsman Mr. Keiji MIWA made China grown Hon kaya 2.2-Sun Ten-masa 1-piece Table Go Board.
It is engraved with a proof "Keiho" manufactured by Keiji MIWA.
The lines of a board are marked using "Tachi-mori", the skill of drawing lines using a Japanese sword.
This traditional technique highlights the beauty of natural grain patterns and the texture of lacquered line is smooth and has also a nice feeling.
This board is Ten-masa, a popular thick size board with around 2-Sun (about 55-75mm) thickness and beautiful wood grains run through top to bottom.
The wood color and wood grains are both wonderful, and it is a gem that you can fully enjoy the aroma and touch of Hon-Kaya.
It is a beautiful board with almost no defects.
