Clamshell Go stones are white Go stones made from clam shells.
Generally, the thickness of Go stones that are said to be “easiest to play” is “size 30 to 36", so a Go stone of size 32 (thickness: approx. 8.8 mm) is both moderate thickness and a luxurious feel.

Each Clamshell Go stones are made by hand by Go stones craftsmen through more than 20 manufacturing processes.
It takes approximately 2 to 6 months from the clam shell to the finished product.
We hope you will experience the skill of Go stones making that has been passed down from generation to generation for more than 100 years, and the brilliance of the Go stones carved by traditional Go stone making craftsmen.
The "Clamshell Go stones Blue label" has some scratches, but it is a semi-qualified quality Go stones.

*Our Nachi-guro black Go stones are manufactured to be 0.3mm thicker and 0.3mm larger in diameter than the white Go stones of the same size.
The reason for this is that white is a visually expanding color.
When white and black stones have the exact same diameter and thickness, black Go stones tend to appear slightly smaller to the human eyes.
To ensure that both Go stones look about the same size on the board, we make this slight adjustment.

Go bowls : Tochi (Japanese horse chestnut) wood made Go bowls
The color of Tochi (Japanese Horse Chestnut) Go bowls are generally pale, with a beautiful light yellowish-white hue.
It features a silky ripple-like gloss, known as the ripple mark, which is characteristic of Tochi wood.
Since the growth rings are faint and not very noticeable, the whiteness and luster of the wood stand out prominently.
As a Go bowl material, it is lightweight, slightly soft, and has a fine, dense grain.
Tochi wood is commonly used for furniture, musical instruments, bowls, and trays.
Because Go bowls with such a bright and soft appearance are rare, this is an excellent choice for those who prefer light-colored Go bowls.
Additionally, as Tochi wood Go bowls are not widely available on the market, they are highly recommended for those looking for something unique.

Go board : Hyuga-kaya Table Go Board Masame 1.6 Sun (about 50mm thick) 3-piece composition board No.76893 *Off-spec
This Go board is made from Hyuga Kaya wood, that is quite hard to get as material wood for Go board.
The lines of a board are marked using "Tachi-mori", the skill of drawing lines using a Japanese sword.
This traditional technique highlights the beauty of natural grain patterns and the texture of lacquered line is smooth and has also a nice feeling.
There are a lot of intergrown knots on the board overall.
The top, both cutting sides and bottom has several intergrown knots.
There are fixed cracks on one side and the bottom.
But they will not bother you in daily use.
