The box fits the board very well, with a tight, precise lid that may feel firm at first but ensures a secure fit. The extra space inside also makes it possible to store the board’s cardboard base, which is quite convenient.

This was my first time handling stones of this quality, and it was a very pleasant experience. They feel heavy and cool in the hand, with a wonderful tactile sensation that carries over when placing them on the goban. The white stones are beautiful, even at Blossom grade, and the black stones are equally impressive. The shape of the stones is even and I could not find any defect so far. The Kuroki family’s reputation is well deserved.

The bowls are beautiful, with a smooth, glossy satin finish and no visible defects. They comfortably hold the stones in the selected size.

The box is the perfect size to hold the bowls. The finishing is impeccable. The lid fits perfectly, with no gaps or play. The cord that keeps the box closed is also a very nice touch.
