It is highly unlikely that bowls like this will ever be produced again.
For anyone searching for something truly unique, these are highly recommended.
This time, we were fortunate to receive just one set directly from Mr. Nishikawa.

The nuts of the Haze tree are also used to make mokurō (wood wax), a traditional finishing material for Go and Shogi boards.
The most striking feature of golden Haze, as its name suggests, is its radiant golden color.
While it’s hard to capture in photos, parts of the wood shimmer with gold depending on the light and the angle you view it from.

This particular set features black-and-yellow tiger-like stripes running through the grain, with some areas showing a touch of tiger stripe figure—making it not only exceptionally beautiful but also an extremely rare piece.

Go bowls made from golden Haze are almost never seen on the market.

What is Tora-moku (Tiger Stripe Grain)?
This is an especially rare and beautiful material, with shimmering figure in striped patterns that catch the light differently depending on the viewing angle.
The complex tiger-stripe figuring on the sides is particularly stunning.
