Traditional craftsman Biei Go Bowls Special Feature

Biei was born into a family in Gunma Prefecture engaged in traditional woodturning.

For over 50 years, he has studied and refined his craft, dedicating himself to mastering the art of lathe woodwork.

Working daily with a wide variety of fine woods, he continues to produce high-quality Go bowls with exceptional care and precision.

In recognition of his skill and craftsmanship, he was certified as a Traditional Craftsman in 2000.
