Go stones are "Clamshell Go Stones Premium Blossom grade size 34" made from Clamshells, which are considered to be the highest quality Go stones material.

Go stones : Clamshell Go Stones Premium Blossom grade size 34
Clamshell Go stones are white Go stones made from clam shells.
Generally, the thickness of Go stones that are said to be “easiest to play” is “size 30 to 36", so a Go stone of size 34 (thickness: approx. 9.5 mm) is both reasonably thick and easy to use.
Each Clamshell Go stone is made by hand by Go stones craftsmen through more than 20 manufacturing processes.
It takes approximately 2 to 6 months from the clam shell to the finished product.
We hope you will experience the skill of Go stones making that has been passed down from generation to generation for more than 100 years, and the brilliance of the Go stones carved by traditional Go stone making craftsmen.
Quality: The highest quality with almost no scratches that has cleared strict selection standards.
Grade (striped pattern): The spacing between the stripes is a little coarser than "Snow grade", which is about 70% or less of the total.

The Kuri [chestnut] has a large annual ring and is a little rough, but it is a light and durable chestnut Go bowls with a calm dark brown wood color.
Kuri [chestnut]-made Go bowls are widely used because they are relatively inexpensive, affordable, and durable.

Shii [Castanopsis] Go bowl is widely used for its pale wood grain and color.
The wood color is a pale yellowish brown wood color.

This is made from Keyaki [zelkova] wood, that is famous for its beautiful grain patterns and gloss color.
Keyaki [zelkova] is one of the most popular materials for Japanese wood crafts as it has not only clear grain patterns but also water- and humidity-resistant.

Go Board:Board craftsman Mr. Miwa made Shin-kaya (Spruce wood) Tachi-mori finish one-piece table Go board Size 30
This is a heavy board with a thickness of approximately 90 mm and a weight of about 7.5 kg.
It is made by the board craftsman Keiji Miwa, and it features the engraved mark "Keihou."
The markings are done with domestic natural lacquer, resulting in a wonderful finish.
The bottom side has a carved indentation.
The wood grain is straight and fine, making it a very beautiful board.

The shin kaya (spruce) material is considered to be of lower quality compared to the highest grade "kaya" wood, but it is relatively inexpensive and has a wood grain and color that closely resemble that of a genuine kaya board, making it widely used.
Although shin kaya is not the same as "hon kaya" or "Hyuga kaya," it is relatively affordable, making it suitable for everyday use, as well as for beginners to intermediate players, and as a gift.

The playing experience is comparable to that of hon kaya and Hyuga kaya boards, and it is less prone to deformation or cracking.
With a thickness of about 90 mm, it is relatively thick for a tabletop board, providing a sense of heaviness and luxury.
