Go board: China grown Hon Kaya Masame Go board with legs 6.7-sun / 203 ㎜ thick *Off-spec. Kaya wood is the best material for Go board and Shogi board, because of its good hitting taste, elasticity, beautiful grain, color, luster and aroma.
Currently, Kaya wood is extremely difficult to obtain, making new single-piece boards, which require large-diameter timber, exceptionally rare.
"Chinese Kaya" tends to be rated slightly lower compared to Japanese Kaya due to its stronger reddish hue, wood quality, and rarity.
However, this board features finely and straightly grained wood on the top surface, boasting a beauty that rivals that of domestically sourced Kaya.
This masterpiece allows players to fully experience the exquisite aroma and the soft, fine texture of Hyuga Kaya, offering the ultimate playing sensation.
This is a work created by board craftsman Yoshida, with the calligraphy of "一如作 / Ichijo Saku" and his stamped seal.

Go Stone: "Selected Clamshell Go Stones, Snow grade size 34". Clamshell Go stones are white Go stones made from clam shells.
Each Clamshell Go stone is made by hand by craftsmen through a process of more than 20 manufacturing steps.
It takes approximately 2 to 6 months from the clam shell to the finished product.
We invite you to experience the skill of goishi making that has been passed down from generation to generation for more than 100 years, and the brilliance of Go stone cut by traditional Go stone making craftsmen. Snow grade is a title that can only be given to Go stones with stripes that are more than 80% straight.
Its production is very low, about 10% of the total production.
The "Clamshell Go Stones Premium Snow grade" is the highest quality Go stone with almost no flaws and more than 80% straight stripes.

These Go bowls are Keyaki [zelkova] made Go bowls.           The entire process, from the black lacquer coating on the base, the vermilion lacquer coating inside, to the Gold leaf stamping and coating, is done by craftsmen who put a lot of time and effort into each step of the process.
