Shogi pieces craftsman "Fu-getsu 富月" made Satsuma-hon-tsuge (Satsuma boxwood) Kujaku-moku (Peacock pattern wood grain) Kinki-syo (Kinki script) mori-age (embossed) Shogi pieces.
This is a rare and exceptionally beautiful mori-age shogi piece set, showcasing masterful carving and embossing techniques refined over many years.
It features the striking “Kujaku-moku” (peacock grain)—a captivating wood grain pattern that radiates upward from the base of each piece, reminiscent of a peacock’s fanned tail.
"Fugetsu" is Shogi pieces craftsman who studied under "Contemporary Master Shogi Craftsman" Mr.Hisanori Ito, a Shogi pieces craftsman in Tendo City, Yamagata Prefecture, and is regarded as one of the five masters of the modern era.
The delicate and flowing inscriptions "Kinki-sho by Fugetsu" engraved on the butt end of the Gyokusyo and Ohsho, and the plump and graceful heaping up of the pieces show the craftsmanship of this masterpiece.
Fugetsu pieces are also used in title and Meijin tournaments.

Shogi board
This Shogi board with legs made by board craftsman Mr. Torayoshi YOSHIDA.
This Ten-masa 5.7 sun (about 174 mm thick) Shogi board with legs is made from Japan grown kaya wood.
This is rare and valuable products as this is made from Japan grown kaya wood.
Bottom side of the board, the symbol "Ichi-jo-saku (一如 作）" is written with a brush.

Ichi-jo-saku (一如 作）means "made with Ichi-nyo spirit" is the proof of his work.
The lines of a board are marked using Tachi-mori, the skill of drawing lines using a Japanese sword. This traditional technique highlights the beauty of natural grain patterns and the texture of lacquered line is smooth and has also a nice feeling.
The works of Mr. Torayoshi YOSHIDA feature very thin markings lines, that create elegance and beauty.
There are stains of wood origin throughout.
There are scratches on the belly button and on the edge between the wood edge and the sides.
The top surface and the top of the wood have some intergrown knots.
The one intergrown knot in cutting side has small and thin hole.
