Shogi pieces craftsman "Kou-getsu 幸月" made Mikurajima-hon-tsuge (Mikura Island grown boxwood) Masame, Kiyo-sada-syo (Kiyo-sada typeface) Engraved Shogi pieces.

"Kou-getsu 幸月" is a Shogi pieces maker who learned pieces making under "Fugetsu 富月", a Shogi pieces craftsman who is regarded as one of the top five masters of the modern age.
"Kou-getsu 幸月" is especially good at "Engraving".

These Shogi pieces are "hand carved Shogi pieces" with the characters of the "Kiyo-sada typeface" carefully carved into the vertical grain wood of the island yellow willow.

Together with "Genpei Kiyoyasu" and "Yasu-kiyo", "Kiyo-sada" is a relatively old typeface that has been handed down since the Edo period.
The main features of "清安書 Kiyo-yasu typeface" are the rounded strokes of the "O" in the "Ryu-O" (backside of the "飛車 Hisha" piece), the "Kin" (backside of the "桂馬 Kei-ma" piece), and especially impressive is the last stroke of the long, extended "歩 Fu" (the "pawn").
This typeface is elegant and popular.
