Generally, the thickness of Go stones that are said to be “easiest to play” is “size 30 to 36", so a Go stone of size 35 (thickness: approx. 9.8 mm) is both sufficient thick and easy to use.

Clamshell Go stones are white Go stones made from clam shells.
Each Clamshell Go stone is made by hand by Go stones craftsmen through more than 20 manufacturing processes.
It takes approximately 2 to 6 months from the clam shell to the finished product.
We hope you will experience the skill of Go stones making that has been passed down from generation to generation for more than 100 years, and the brilliance of the Go stones carved by traditional Go stone making craftsmen.
Quality: The highest quality with almost no scratches that has cleared strict selection standards.
Grade (striped pattern): The spacing between the stripes is a little coarser than "Snow grade", which is about 70% or less of the total.

Proof of Quality – “Numbering” Each White Go stone manufactured by our shop is engraved with an invisible marking that becomes visible only under a blacklight.
This numbering serves as the mark of Kuroki Goishiten and as a guarantee of authenticity and quality control.

Go bowls：Wood craftsman Mr.Kawashita made Yakusugi Go Bowls Masamoku Extra Large size *Off-spec.
These bowls are made from the straight-grain wood (masamoku) of Yakusugi (Yakushima cedar), sourced from a tree estimated to be approximately 1,500 years old.
As shown in the images, the wood features a finely aligned, beautifully straight grain, with subtle figuring that adds visual interest and depth.
While Yakusugi is widely known for its use in luxury furniture and interior décor, its exceptional beauty and rarity also make it a highly valued material for crafting Go bowls.

Go board：Board craftsman Mr.Torayoshi Yoshida made China grown Kaya Ten-masa 1.8-Sun(55 mm thick) one-piece table Go board
Ichi-jo-saku (一如 作）means "made with Ichi-nyo spirit" is the proof of his work.
The lines of a board are marked using Tachi-mori, the skill of drawing lines using a Japanese sword.
This traditional technique highlights the beauty of natural grain patterns and the texture of lacquered line is smooth and has also a nice feeling.
The works of Mr. Torayoshi YOSHIDA feature very thin markings lines, that create elegance and beauty.
It is a beautiful board with relatively few defects, and this is Ten-masa cutting style and the top grain runs straight and beautifully.
There are some scratches on the bottom and some natural wood-striated stains.
