These Shogi pieces are Shogi Pieces craftsman "熊澤良尊 (Ryoson kumazawa)" made "白檀 (White sandalwood)", "錦旗 (Kinki typeface)" mori-age (embossed) Shogi pieces.
These Shogi pieces are very beautiful moriage (embossed) Shogi pieces on a rare and beautiful sandalwood, with carving and moriage (embossed) techniques that have been cultivated over many years.
On the inside of the Shogi pieces box, the inscription "錦旗 熊澤良尊 (Kinki Kumazawa Ryoson)" is signed and stamp by the craftsman.
Shogi pieces craftsman "熊澤良尊 (Ryoson Kumazawa)" first made Shogi pieces were used in a commemorative game between Meijin Nakahara and Hifumi Kato 9-dan, which was a very impressive debut.
His subsequent successes have made him such a prominent Shogi pieces crafsman that he is referred to as a "Modern-Shogi pieces Master".

Shogi Board
This Shogi board with legs is made by board craftsman Mr. Torayoshi YOSHIDA.
This Shihou-masa 5.6-Sun (171 mm thick) 1-piece Shogi board with legs is made from Japan grown kaya wood.
Ichi-jo-saku (一如 作）means "made with Ichi-nyo spirit" is the proof of his work.
Japan grown wood is very hard to find nowadays, though this board is Kiura, this new one piece board is very rare and can only be made with large diameter wood.
The grain and the soft wood quality of Japan grown wood are the best pointers to fully enjoy this gem.
The lines of a board are marked using Tachi-mori, the skill of drawing lines using a Japanese sword. This traditional technique highlights the beauty of natural grain patterns and the texture of lacquered line is smooth and has also a nice feeling.
The works of Mr. Torayoshi YOSHIDA feature very thin markings lines, that create elegance and beauty.
With a thickness of 5.6-Sun (approximately 171 mm), the board has a massive and luxurious feel.
Both cutting sides and one side have natural wood color stains.

Shogi pieces Stand
This pair of one-legged piece stands are made of Honkuwa(Japanese mulberry), the highest quality wood for piece stands.
They are made slightly lower than the top surface to match the height of this board.

Shogi pieces Box
Shima Kuwa (island mulberry) is the highest quality wood to make Shogi pieces box with its rarity, unique pattern, color and gloss texture.
Although it is hard to see from the photo image, the grain patters beautifully shines and emit golden color according to various angles of lighting.
This is a corner rounded Shogi piece box.
This product has official seal of "Takahashi Kougei", traditional wood craftsmen.
