This product is "Ki-zakura", a decorative hinoki folding fan, a Kyoto-style folding fan from "O-nishi Kyo-sen-do", a long-established fan store in Kyoto founded in the Tempo era (1868-1912).

This folding fan is a large decorative folding fan made of 30 thin boards of Japanese cypress, connected by a string, and measures 530 mm in width when unfolded.
A magnificent fan with six colored silk decorative colored strings attached to both ends of the fan.
A "decorative stand" for displaying folding fan, which can be placed on a shelf or hung on a wall, etc., is included.
This beautiful folding fan shines with the craftsmanship that has been passed down from generation to generation for 1200 years in the ancient capital of Kyoto.

This decorative hinoki folding fan is made of 30 thin boards of hinoki cypress, each connected by a string.
Unlike folding fans, which are finished by pasting Japanese paper on the fan bone, the magnificent cherry blossoms are hand painted directly on a hinoki cypress board.
On the other side are line drawings of birds, butterflies, and flowers.
When you open a folding fan with Japanese paper attached to the fan bone, it opens with a "flapping" motion, but this fan made of hinoki cypress boards connected by string opens smoothly and smoothly.
A "decorative stand" for displaying folding fan, which can be placed on a shelf or hung on a wall, etc., is included.
