This is the "Akita Cedar Flower Vase" crafted by Ominato Bunkichi Shoten. Made from high-quality cedar sourced from Akita Prefecture, this piece is carefully finished by skilled artisans to highlight the natural warmth and beauty of the wood. The body features three traditional Japanese patterns, each imbued with meaning: Asanoha (hemp leaf), symbolizing protection and the healthy growth of children; Goma (sesame), representing longevity; and Rindō (gentian flower), a motif of sincerity. These quiet, thoughtful details are woven into the design to express subtle sentiment. A slender bamboo tube is included for arranging flowers; however, the bamboo itself is not watertight. Please use it in combination with a small vase or glass tube for holding water. This simple yet meaningful vase brings a gentle touch of Japanese elegance to any setting and makes a thoughtful gift as well. *Flowers are not included. Use with your favorite bloom to complete the display.
