This is a Go bowl box size L made from Yakusugi, an exceptionally rare and highly sought-after wood.

This Go bowl box is made from Yakusugi cedar, featuring its distinctive intricate grain patterns with touches of golden shimmering figure.
Golden shimmering grain can also be seen on the frame that holds the Go bowls and along the sides of the box.
Renowned for its intricate and delicate grain, Yakusugi offers a refined beauty that never grows tiresome—so much so that it has captivated collectors around the world.
Since Yakushima Island was designated a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, logging of Yakusugi has been strictly prohibited, making the wood extremely difficult to obtain and significantly increasing its value and rarity.
