Go board : Board craftsman Mr.Miura of Yachimata Gobanten made Japan grown Hon-Kaya Go board with legs Kiomote 5.1-sun / 155 mm thick "Haguruma (means Gear in English) -mori" finish lines
The lines are finished in the "Haguruma (means Gear in English) -mori" style, using a special blend of materials including genuine Japanese lacquer, carefully selected to create a beautifully lustrous finish.
On the underside, the board bears the seal "Japanese Hon-Kaya," certifying the use of domestic Kaya wood, along with the seal of "Yachimata Gobanten," attesting to its craftsmanship.
As this is a ki-omote cutting style board, the flat-grain pattern appears on the top surface.
Natural characteristics include resin marks (habushi) on the bottom and sides, and remnants of natural bark on the bottom.
