Calligrapher Mr. Iwao said, about the creation of this work, "The book of "Gorin-no-syo / 五輪書" cannot be summed up in a few words, but it is written that the only way to fully master any one technique is through daily practice and repetition, and that in everything, it is important to steadily accumulate and study one step at a time, without being hasty.
This passage is the origin of the word "training / 鍛錬", and I always want to be the same way.

"Gorin-no-syo / 五輪書"
The Book of "Gorin-no-syo / 五輪書" is a book of martial philosophy said to have been written by the great swordsman "Musashi Miyamoto" start at the age of 60 and completed in 1645, just before his death at the age of 62.
The Book of "Gorin-no-syo / 五輪書" consists of five volumes : "Chapter of Earth", "Chapter of Water", "Chapter of Fire", "Chapter of Winds" and "Chapter of Air" each of which describes the principles for facing the game.

In the afterword to "Chapter of Water", there is a passage that includes the phrase, "A thousand days of practice is forging, and ten thousand days of practice is training.
In Japan, this passage is a famous quote.
The content of the book is roughly as follows.
It is essential to follow this book and not to be distracted by the side paths.
No matter how many adversaries you overcome, if you do not follow what you have learned (practice), it is not the true way.
If you have this truth in your mind, then you will be able to win against dozens of opponents, even if only one of them is your opponent.
Then, with the wisdom of swordsmanship, you will be able to master the art of war.
