Calligrapher Mr. Satoshi Iwao work "Kiwami / 極"

This is a work by Satoshi Iwao, a calligrapher who lives in Miyazaki City and continues to expand and pursue the possibilities of "calligraphy" without being confined to "writing on Japanese paper with ink and brush".

The character "Kiwami / 極" written in vigorous, flowing strokes in the center of the gold leaf back is a beautiful work of art.
Calligrapher Mr. Iwao said, about the creation of this work, "Find the path, train diligently, and thoroughly master the basics. The foundation is the key to everything.
Once you have mastered the "basics" to a level where you are second to none, you can control change.
I wrote this piece while thinking about the importance of being thorough in all matters.
