Calligrapher Mr.Satoshi Iwao work "Dragon of God (Shen Long 神龍)" (framed picture)

This is a work by Satoshi Iwao, a calligrapher who lives in Miyazaki City and continues to expand and pursue the possibilities of "calligraphy" without being confined to "writing on Japanese paper with ink and brush".

The single Chinese character for "dragon" written in bold and flowing strokes on a gold leaf background expresses a fierce and divine dragon soaring in the sky.
Although it is a calligraphy of "dragon," it is also a "painting," and the work is so powerful that one can almost hear the roar of the dragon's mouth.
Calligrapher Mr. Iwao said about the creation of this work, "There is a saying that "Calligraphy and Painting are the same origin" in Japan.
This is the idea that Calligraphy and Painting originate from the same root.
In this work, I expressed the Chinese character for "Dragon / 龍" itself in the form of a Dragon as I felt it.
Since I created this work for the beginning of the year, I added the radiance of the sun to the forehead as an expression and wrote the wish that it would be an auspicious object."
This work size is 440 mm × 350 mm, using Dark sumi ink.
The work is wooded panel framed.
