This is an original table Shogi board fabric cover made from Nishijin textile by Kurokigoishiten.
The pattern features a jade-green design inspired by Tsuyushiba (dewdrops on grass) and cherry blossoms, symbolizing the blessings brought by morning dew.
The crescent-shaped lines represent blades of grass, with dewdrops resting gently on the lush vegetation.
This elegant and refined motif is a traditional design that has also been used in classical Noh theater costumes.
Suitable for boards ranging from 1.7 to 2.0-Sun in thickness.

Hisui-iro (jade green) is one of Japan’s traditional colors, used since the Muromachi period to describe shades of green ranging from bluish-green to yellowish-green.
