This Go bowl is made from Kihada [Amur cork tree] wood .

Kihada [Amur cork tree] has a color similar to that of Honkuwa [Mountain mulberry] and has a very beautiful grain.

Kihada [Amur cork tree] wood is sometimes used as a substitute for Honkuwa [Mountain mulberry] because its color is very similar to that of main mulberry.
Japanese "Kihada" means "yellowdish wood".

Although it is relatively lightweight, it is moderately tough and resistant to water and moisture.
