壷03-自然 This is a remarkable piece that showcases the craftsmanship of Wood craftsman Mr. Yukinori Kawashita, designed to preserve the natural texture of Yakusugi (Yakushima cedar) as part of its aesthetic.
Its form resembles a piece split vertically in half, with deep natural indentations on the sides—darkly marked traces of the original material—blending the beauty of nature with the character of Yakusugi. Depending on the orientation, the vase reveals a variety of expressions.
From certain angles, it even resembles the horns of a snail.
With an approximate height of 170 mm and weight of 880 g, this is a smaller decorative vase.

Go board made of Yakusugi (cedar) (over 1,500-year-old cedar trees grown on Yakushima Island, Japan), are so beautiful and graceful with their intricate and elaborate grain patterns that there are serious "Yakusugi collectors" all over the world.
Since Yakushima Island has been registered as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, logging has been prohibited and the quantity of Yakusugi trees on the market is quite limited, making them extremely difficult to obtain.
屋久杉 The color of Yakusugi (cedar) wood is reddish-brown.
It is a very beautiful wood with its unique aroma and intricate grain patterns including moku (figure) and kobu (burl).
