This Go board is made from Hiba [ Yellow cedar ] wood or Shin-Kaya [spruce wood] with special dimension of 13/9-ro table Go board.

*One side can be used as a 13*13 lines board and the other side can be used as a 9*9lines board.

Hiba [ Yellow cedar ] wood is a material that is widely used as a board material because it has a bright wood color and a wood grain that is not very noticeable.
It is undeniable that the quality of Shin-Kaya (spruce) is lower than that of "Kaya" (Hon Kaya and Hyuga-Kaya) which is considered to be the highest grade board, but it is relatively inexpensive and the grain and color are very similar to those of Honkei. Therefore, it is widely used.
Shin-Kaya (spruce) is not a "Kaya" such as "Hon Kaya / Hyuga Kaya", but it is relatively inexpensive, so it is recommended for everyday use, for beginners to intermediate users, and as a gift.
The feeling put on a Go stone is comparable to that of "Kaya" and "Hyuga Kaya", and it is less likely to be deformed or cracked.
