This is a Wooden Teacup made from Yakusugi Toramoku (Tiger Grain), crafted by wood craftsman Mr.Yukinori Kawashita.

This teacup is crafted from rare Toramoku (tiger grain) Yakusugi cedar.
It has been made slightly thicker to give a sense of weight and substance when held.
Rich in natural oils, it features a deep, warm color.
The unique hue and grain of Yakusugi wood make this teacup exceptionally beautiful.
This teacup is made from an exceptionally rare and beautiful material known as “Toramoku” (tiger stripe grain)—a distinctive figured pattern that shimmers beautifully depending on the angle of light, forming striped patterns in the wood.
The luster of the toramoku on the inner surface and sides of the teacup is truly remarkable.

Finished with a urethane coating.
It is perfectly safe to use as a drinking vessel.
Wooden teacups offer excellent insulation, heat resistance, and heat retention, making them comfortable to hold even with hot beverages and helping to keep drinks warm for longer.
Unlike ceramic teacups, this piece allows you to enjoy the warmth of natural wood, along with a soft, smooth feel on the lips—a sensory experience that engages all five senses.

Yakusugi (cedar wood) made Shogi pieces stand is beautiful and graceful with their intricate and elaborate grain patterns that there are serious "Yakusugi collectors" all over the world.
Since Yakushima Island has been registered as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, logging has been prohibited and the quantity of Yakusugi trees on the market is quite limited, making them extremely difficult to obtain.
The color of Yakusugi (cedar) wood is reddish-brown. It is a very beautiful wood with its unique aroma and intricate grain patterns.
Please note that the tree oil or fat may start to seep as time goes by as the wood contains a lot of oil and fat.

You may find small knots, burrs, rolled-in bark as all these products are made of natural trees.
There may be some small flaw or scratch, dent, chipping.

・Cannot be used in a microwave.
・Do not use in a dishwasher or dish dryer.
・When washing, use a soft sponge with dishwashing detergent and wash gently.
・Do not use scrubbing pads or brushes for cleaning.
・After washing, wipe off any water droplets with a cotton cloth.
・Do not use bleach.
・Please handle with care, as strong impact may cause cracking, chipping, or breakage.
