This is made of "Nire wood" [Elm Tree], which is very rare as Go Bowls.

This Go bowl is the unique shape is called "hira-goke (flatten-type Go bowl)" that has a larger diameter and makes it easier to take out Go stones from the container part compared to ordinary shape ones.
