Go stone
The white Go stones are Blue Label "Amber Go Stones", Size 33 (approx. 9.2 mm thick), crafted from clamshells that retain a subtle natural amber coloration from the original shell material.
"Amber Go Stones" are exceptionally beautiful clamshell stones in which the shell's natural amber-colored stripes have remained by chance, creating an elegant and distinctive appearance.
* Please refer to the photos.
These amber-colored stones occur only by rare chance—only a few stones out of several thousand to tens of thousands retain this unique coloration. Furthermore, after sorting by size, quality, and matching appearance, it takes the production of several thousand to tens of thousands of complete sets before a single matching set can be assembled. They are therefore extraordinarily rare as well as exceptionally beautiful.
Naturally, these stones are not generally distributed on the market and are seldom available for purchase.

Clamshell Go stones are white stones handcrafted from genuine clamshells.
The thickness generally considered the most comfortable for play is between Size 30 and Size 36, making these Size 32 stones (approx. 8.8 mm thick) an excellent balance of comfortable thickness and ease of use.
* Please refer to the thickness comparison image.
Each clamshell stone is individually handcrafted by skilled artisans through more than 20 production processes.
From raw clamshell to finished stone, the manufacturing process typically takes approximately 2 to 6 months.
We invite you to experience the beauty and craftsmanship of Go stones created through techniques that have been handed down for more than 100 years.
Blue Label Clamshell Go Stones are classified as sub-premium quality. They may have minor natural scratches or imperfections, but these do not affect their performance or durability as Go stones.
Quality:Sub-premium quality. Minor scratches or imperfections may be present, but they are considered fully acceptable for practical use.
Grade (Shell Grain):The shell grain covers less than 80% of the surface, with relatively wide spacing between the grain lines.
* Please refer to the sample images showing scratches, shell grain patterns, and color variations.

For your peace of mind, every individual clamshell stone is marked with our proprietary Numbering System, which enables strict quality identification and management for every stone we sell.
