The board is Hyuga Kaya Masame Go board with legs 7.8-Sun / 236 ㎜ thick crafted by the renowned board craftsman Mr. Torayoshi Yoshida.
The length of the legs is approximately 120mm, so the total height is 356mm and the weight is approximately 28kg, which is enough to give the board a sense of massiveness, presence, and luxury.

The Go stones are "Clamshell Go Stones Premium Snow grade size 38", the highest grade of Mexican Clamshell Go stones.
Each "Clamshell Go stones" is carefully handcrafted by our Go stone craftsmen, and is a gem with exceptional hitting taste and special texture and feel.
It is a top quality "Clamshell Go stones" with pure white color and beautiful stripes.
The thickness of size 38 (thickness: approx. 10.7 mm) is neither too thin nor too thick, and is both easy to play and massive, allowing you to fully enjoy the taste of Clamshell Go stones.
*The black Go stones come with Nachiguro Go stones.

The Go bowls are “Kurogaki Go Bowls”, crafted by traditional Go Bowls craftsman Mr. Takashi Nishikawa.
Made from the highly rare Kurogaki (black persimmon) wood, this Go bowl showcases a stunning contrast between black and white. Each piece is truly one of a kind, featuring elegant, delicate lines that appear as if drawn with a fine brush.

The natural interplay of black and white creates a striking visual impact, making this an exceptional masterpiece.

Go board: Board craftsman Mr. Torayoshi YOSHIDA made Hyuga Kaya Go Board with Legs. Kaya wood is the best material for Go board and Shogi board, because of its good hitting taste, elasticity, beautiful grain, color, luster and aroma.
Currently, large-diameter Hyuga Kaya wood suitable for crafting legged Go boards is extremely difficult to obtain. As a result, a Ten-masa board of this thickness is exceptionally rare.
This particular board is a masterpiece, featuring finely detailed, straight grain patterns on the surface, enhancing its natural beauty.
*Scales are finished with Japanese lacquer Tachimori.
*Tatami mat included.

Go Stone: "Selected Clamshell Go Stones, Snow grade size 38". Clamshell Go stones are white Go stones made from clam shells.
Each Clamshell Go stone is made by hand by craftsmen through a process of more than 20 manufacturing steps.
It takes approximately 2 to 6 months from the clam shell to the finished product.
We invite you to experience the skill of goishi making that has been passed down from generation to generation for more than 100 years, and the brilliance of Go stone cut by traditional Go stone making craftsmen. Snow grade is a title that can only be given to Go stones with stripes that are more than 80% straight.
Its production is very low, about 10% of the total production.
The "Clamshell Go Stones Premium Snow grade" is the highest quality Go stone with almost no flaws and more than 80% straight stripes.
*Comes with a care set.

Points to consider when selecting a Go bowls

The points to consider when choosing a Go bowls are the purpose, the thickness (size) of the stones to be placed, the preference of materials such as grain, wood color, and color, and the compatibility and balance with the board, etc. Ultimately, it is probably best to decide on your preference if the go stones to be placed in the chest fit properly.
Who will use it? You, your children, your grandchildren, everyone, etc.
Relatively lightweight go-chests that are easy to use for everyday use? A heavy go-chest? High-end go-chests? For gifts? For beginners? Some experience? How good is your game? Rarity? What are the most popular Go bowls? We recommend that you consider these factors when making your selection.。
It is difficult to choose one because there are many kinds of woods and there is a big difference in price, but it is easy to ask yourself, "Which go-chest is good? What about this material? We would be happy if you consider it as one of the enjoyments to be confused about which go-chest is good for you. We hope that you will enjoy choosing one while having a hard time deciding.
